I was born in 1973 got a degree in Social Work and through self-education I worked myself into the ICT world as a Convergence Manager in a large Belgian Integrator. I’m happily married and have 3 wonderful kids, they are my “raison d’être”. My mother thong is Dutch, but in the WWW I guess it’s more appropriate to use english.
Anyway, when I was a teenager I filled my summer days on camp. One time I had to introduce myself using only pictures, as a picture says more than a 1.000 words it might be a good start here also, so here goes :
1 of my bad habits, I smoke. I started when I was quite young and from the start I went for Lucky Strike.
The reason for that is quite simple :
I love airplanes. The P-51 Mustang is my all time favorite WWII fighter and a lot of pictures of the pilots showed them smoking Lucky Strike, so it was logical I guess.
Although I’m raised Christian, I have more feeling for the Asian view on things and there beliefs. For me, every one is good and evil, night can’t be without day, but it also gives me hope. ‘Cause no matter how bad things get, there’s always a silver lining.
I’m keen on Japanese Anime, not only do I like the style but I find it also very intriguing how they build up a story wich so much depth and character development, something you hardly find in Western movies.
Fantasy, dragons and Knights… I guess I never grew up. I found my princess in live and had to fight demons and dragons, although they don’t look like this little picture. But I confess, I love a good Fantasy movie with dragons and princesses.
I started playing boardgames when I was in High school, Battletech was my first game and I kept playing it. Although not well known here in Belgium, the players community kept the game alive when the company closed shop.
With everything I do, I want to be one of the best. It’s not that I’m very competitive, but I’m very motivated. Every step I take needs to bring me further. My boss told me once “Aim for the moon, even if you miss you’ll land among the stars” .
I’ll update this page some more in the future, but this gives you already some sense of who I am.
