PC setup

When I was a kid (I guess 12 years ?) my parents bought me a ‘computer’, a SEGA game console. I  was disappointed because it could only play games. A few years later I got my first real computer, the Commodore 64 🙂 It was a revelation and soon I was programming simple lines for my younger brother. He had some issues with math, so I made a very simple tool to help him divide and multiply simple numbers.

To give you an idea how long I used this Commodore, when I was 20 years old, we’re talking 1993, I still used this Commodore for school work. I even started and saved my thesis on Social Work on those 5,25” floppy disks. Once I started working I bought my first real computer, a Pentium I, 66Mhz and used my dotmatrix printer from the Commodore on it.

From then on it exploded and now I’m here on this little jewel :

Main Rig

Motherboard : Asus Rampage II Extreme
CPU : Intel Core I7 Extreme 975 @ 3533.52Mhz (slightly OC-ed)
Mugen Scythe cooler
Memory :  6Gb Corsair Dominator DDR III
NVidia GeForce 8800GTS
Nvidia GeForce 9800 GX2
Disk 0 : 160Gb Maxtor Raptor running Win7 Ultimate
Disk 1->3 : 1Tb capacity (I know, needs upgrading)
Triple screen setup : Samsung Syncmaster2253/Samsung Syncmaster 2243/Samsung Syncmaster T240HD

Next ‘major’ upgrade is the replacement of both Nvidia cards with the new Asus HD 5870 Eyefinity 6 Edition

More on that when it gets here.
